To see you dancing and playing and eating cake
brings tears to my eyes because I want to see this, my Big Girl, so beautiful,
I remember your first birthday, you so tiny and sweet in a purple dress,
and party hat, and your special seat...
and your second one, oh that much more special
because we now know it was your last we would share together
I watch the tape and remember the memories so dear
you wrapped in your princess Boad and little hat
you tried so hard to do the best you could
for you couldn't have the cake like you can now.
and no special chair for you for...
they are princess slippers for you to dance in with our Prince
and to see you do all you CAN now DO.
