HEAVEN AND HELL
An old man from China, who had lived a virtuous life, passed away and was about to enter the gates of Heaven.  At his request, God granted him a short visit to Hell to see what he would be missing.

The man opened the door to Hell, and before him was an elegant banquet hall.  A table ten feet wide and a mile long was lavished with fresh food - baked goods, fruits and vegetables, and prepared dishes in great variety.  His eyes went to those seated at the table, and he noticed the frustration on their faces as they attempted to feed themselves.  The chopsticks that had been provided to them were six feet long.  As the guests at the table held the chopsticks, they had to stretch their arms to full length, and still they could not get the food into their mouths.  No one using them could get a single bite of the delectable food in front of them.  Weary, frustrated, and hungry, the people in the hall suffered with this situation day after day.  The old man left the hall and prepared to enter Heaven.

When he opened the door to Heaven, his eyes grew wide. Before him lay a table ten feet wide and a mile long, and lavished with fresh food - baked goods, fruits and vegetables, and prepared dishes in great variety. The guests at the table held chopsticks six feet long - much too long to reach from their outstretched hands to their mouths. The chopsticks were exactly the same as the ones used by those in Hell. But the difference - the only difference - was the look of contentment on the faces of the guests, as each leaned forward and fed the person seated across the table.
