About Me

Hi! My name's Leah. I'm 21 years old and a senior at the University of New Hampshire. I'm a Kinesiology: Athletic Training major and am currently working with the Men's Ice Hockey team. I'm originally from Vermont, but I lived in Montreal for most of my life. I currently live in Dover, New Hampshire, but hope to move back to a big city once I am finished school.
I've always liked tennis, I just can't play it if my life depended on it. Andre Agassi was always my favorite player when I was younger. He stuck out to me because he was different from everyone else. He was just cool. As for women's players, I really like the Williams sisters. They are getting a lot of people to check out women's tennis and are helping the women's game.
I started noticing Patrick Rafter during the 1997 U.S. Open, but I still had the soft spot for Agassi. As the tournaments went on, I never stopped hearing about this Rafter guy, so I figured, why not watch a match? I was hooked. That blend of serve and volley tennis with a relentless attitude was all it took. Alright, I lied. It was his attitiude, style of play and his looks. I'll admit it. How can any girl resist?
Despite my extreme interest in tennis, and especially Pat, my actual favorite sport is hockey. My favorite team is thePhiladelphia Flyers. Growing up in Montreal made me a hockey fan. My favorite players are John LeClair, Eric Lindros and Ron Hextall. I play too, I'm a center. I also play softball as a first baseman.
Aside from sports I enjoy music a lot. I play bass guitar, piano and I sing. My favorite bands are Pearl Jam, The Tea Party, The Doors The Beatles, and my friends the Rustic Overtones(check these guys out, they're going to be HUGE!).
In other entertainment, my favorite actors are Val Kilmer(Real Genius is a must-see college student movie), Mel Gibson, Russel Crowe, Heath Ledger and I'm sure many more. My favorite actresses are Drew Barrymore and Meg Ryan. I like The Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle and The Crocodile Hunter(Steve Irwin is so cool!). On the other hand I also enjoy trivia type games like Who Wants to be a Millionaire or Jeopardy. Basically I'm into anything that will either make me laugh or teach me something.
