Males of the species can sometimes be found congregated at moist spots on the forest floor.  The butterfly is a rapid flyer and usually stops to rest with its wings folded closed.
The life history of the species is rather unique, with the caterpillar being dependent on the Fire Ant or Kerengga (Oecophylla smaragdina) for survival.  The known host plant for this species is Saraca thaipingensis
