Acytolepis puspa lambi (Common Hedge Blue)
The Common Hedge BlueThe Common Hedge Blue is usually found flying along brightly sunlit footpaths along forest tracks.  It flies in an erratic manner and males are usually observed feeding on damp patches on the forest floor.  Males are a shining blue above and this can be noticed when the butterfly is in flight.

The Common Hedge Blue Females are rarer and are a pale shining greenish blue with broad black borders on the forewings and dark-dusted on the hindwings.  The dark black spots on the underside of the hindwing are quite distinct.  The legs are black banded, as are the antennae.
