Most of the pictures on this page are from a local park called Eagle Creek. I used to volunteer at this park and I would spend a lot of time just walking around. I used to go mushroom hunting, not because I like the taste of mushrooms, but because I enjoyed looking for them. Lately, I have not had the time to go to any park, but I hope I will soon. I encourage you to go to a park or some place out of the city sometime and just stop and enjoy nature. I hope that you can get some enjoyment by being in nature.
The pictures on this page are not updated yet, but you can still view them! I hope you will enjoy looking through them and someday I hope to put some better pictures up.
Here is a picture of a local park. It is not Eagle Creek, but it is a very nice park.
I am adding a picture of a peacock in here because I think they are pretty birds.
INFORMATION
The male peacock is what we think of when we picture a peacock. They have large tail feathers that spread out that are beautiful. The male uses these feathers to attract females during courtship. The peacock's diet includes insects, invertebrates, seeds, worms, and maybe even a small snake. They come from the family Phasianidae, and the order Galliformes.
There are many deer at Eagle Creek. They are not as wild as some of the deer at other places. They are not used to being hunted so they are not really scared of you unless you startle them. I have gotten within five feet of one before. I think one thought I was another deer because it followed me around. I know of places where you can watch them eat and sleep. They are very graceful animals.
INFORMATION
Well there is not much to tell. They have very powerful legs, and believe it or not they are good swimmers. They grow solid bony antlers for protection and to fight off other deer in the spring. They are from the family Cervidae, and the order Artiodactyla.
The following deer pictures are kind of fun. There is at least one deer in each picture. Try to find the deer. Look Hard!!!
As I said before I hunt these. They are fun to find, and some people like the taste of them. There are many different types of mushrooms.
INFORMATION
Mushrooms come in many shapes and sizes. The kind I always like to find are Morels. The pictures I have are of all Morels. One thing though. Most mushrooms are poisonous. Such as toadstools. You want to stay away from those. Mushrooms are fungus. Morels are normally five by ten cm tall and two by three cm wide in the cap. They grow best around scattered wood ashes and dying trees.
This is just a good picture of nature all together. A nice flower and surroundings.
