| wel it all started in early june '05.. when fug put up signs around the town looking for a punk band.fug was continuos ly bullied by chavs and almost depressed by it. he wanted a misfits like himself to play along side with. the first member was joe, the first drummer, although a metal head and not not a misfit he joined,he still joined, his prayers were answered in late july. 1 month aprox after joe joined garreth phoned and was looking to get in, fug let him in, there were no auditions, garreth was also a misfit, so fug was happier with garreth as fug could relate to him being a misfit like fug. however having joe as the drummer was short lived as he quit probably due to influence differences. after that it was mainly practiceing. nothing much creative coming from random evo. until the addition of gavin and gavin(on drums). Gavin (drummer) never actually showed up to practice so he was soon dumped and the band would go for an extra 3 months without a drummer. Gavin guitar was the only member added to atualy stay, he was almost the missing piece. By the end of their fist with gavin the song cappucino was written- the main chord progresion was written by gavin. he was an instant success. Two weeks after the addition of gavin went to austailia. Fug and gavin would spend the next 4 months writing the album "genisis of paroxsysm". fug and gavin have quoated saying "it was complete shit". although some good b-sides have come of it. the band were very queit and still without a drummer. The next drummer was John Clarke, who was an asshole!!but that didn't work out. so he did'nt stay to long either. thay remained without a drummer. the next drummer was Jamie didnt stay too long the reasons are still pretty unknown. so things stayed queit, untill the eager return of garreth in febuary 2006. Instantly the band continued writing really better material. But at this stage somthing had to give,, tension between garreth and fug was getting worse and worse. fug almost quit the band on numerious occations. Garreth was running dry also. they were cracking down and tearing the shit out of eachother (not physicaly) .. the band knew it was time to clean up, pull itself together and start getting along! however this was not done over night- it took months. now the band had a new drummer. Mark sheenan the eejit didnt even have a kit as he smashed up his previous kit. Mark was constantly pining the band with the excuse that hell have it in two more weeks! however this never happened. he pinned the banded with this excuse until a week before their first gig at the marina in carlingford. he was forced to pull out BY HIS MAMMY!!!!!! the band lukily had a spare drummer on hand Shane riley was now on board. and the band rocked the marina like there was no tommorow. playing Board Dumb and 3rd blood. the band held on to riley for anothe 3 weeks until they played the omeath festival. they did not go down very well seeing as they play punk and omeath is a culshee hole. R.E got a radio interveiw on dundalk FM, play some songs and the disgusion of its release is in full throttle.then riley quit while fug and garreth were on holidays.. random evo are currently stocking up on better gear. random evo are currently finishing the writing of simulateous spitting is due out about the november mark. So at the end of the day R.E are a thriving punk/rock band putting themselves out their for your pleasure and enjoyment |
