Relatively little is known about LeBeau at this time. He is the father of Remy LeBeau, the modern anti-hero known as Gambit. Jean Luc is the leader of the "most honorable clan in the secretive Thieves Guild," located in New Orleans. On at least one occasion during World War Two he helped Sergeant Fury and the Howling Commandos keep a powerful mystic gem from the hands of the Nazis and Baron Strucker.
