Swiss Artist If you've never seen Giger's work, you're in for a creepy
treat. But you probably have--he's the one who designed the Aliens for
the Alien movies, among many, many other things.

Iron Chef--Unofficial Site The
Iron Chef is a wonderfully over-the-top Japanese cooking show whose point
is a weekly cook-off under severe time constraints. It's gloriously demented
fun.
Jump the Shark "Jumping
the shark" is a phrase for when a tv show irrevocably begins its downhill
slide. This site amusingly examines that phenomenon.
Kronos: A Chronological
History of the Martial Arts and Combative Sports A decent chronology
and a great assortment of links.
Language Workplace A nice site for
buying translation services (and, believe me, with the increasing globalization
of the Internet this is a service that you'll want and need more of as
time goes by)
Lileks Institute of Official
Cheer A humor site, but unlike most of that breed this one is actually
amusing.
