Razorlight’s Johnny Borrell has been talking to Xfm about the pressures of his newfound fame, his band’s future plans and what the follow up to Razorlight’s number one debut album is going to sound like.
Following the Top Ten success of Razorlight’s debut album ‘Up All Night’ and recent single 'Golden Touch' and mere days before their new release 'VICE' hits the shops, frontman Johnny Borrell has been talking to Xfm about their newfound fame and notoriety.
“The mood in the camp right now is… well, a little bit frazzled.” He admitted, “And we’ve been talking about ourselves all lot. We’re upbeat though.”
“Emotionally I haven’t come to terms with it [all the attention] at all, but physically I suppose I’m alright. The only thing I ever wanted was to make really, really, good songs, and we’re doing that so it’s cool.”
As for the band’s future plans, 2004 seems set aside for touring, but despite this Borrell confessed that he’s finished writing the new album already.
“We’re going to America, then we’re coming back for a really big UK tour, then we’re off again touring America, Europe and stuff so we’re basically touring for the rest of the year,” he explained.
“But I’ve got some great songs lined up. I’m not saying anything about them though. It’s all very secret. The second record? Lets just say we’re gonna make a really good second record, instead of a shit one which is what most people do y’know?”
