Breanne Brislenn believes that law-abiding, responsible citizens shouldn't be punished for what criminals do with guns. Gun ownership, by itself, harms no other person and can't morally justify criminal penalties. Also, prohibition of anything has never done anything but make matters worse. Prohibition of liquor in the 20's didn't stop drinking, drug laws can't stop drug use, and making gun ownership illegal won't stop gun possession. All of these instances have one thing in common. They all forced criminals to be more ruthless and sneaky, while trampling on the rights of the everyday citizen and their ability to protect themselves.
