The Kennebec/Sagadahoc Connection
The Kennebec Valley had 4 Indian tribes under 1 central leader, Kenebis, whose palace was on Swan Island.  The river known as Sagadahock was the same river as the Kennebec, each tribe named the river after their tribe. The Bachelder's found in this region may be related but as yet haven't been documented.
