Tycoon Li Ka-shing may
have made his billions in Hong Kong and around the world but he is No1
with mainland residents, who have voted him China's most impressive
entrepreneur.
Li topped a list of China's 10 most impressive Chinese business people
in a poll of 4,236 residents in 10 cities across the country, including
Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
The other nine achievers are all mainland entrepreneurs.
Second on the list is Zhang Ruimin, of white goods manufacturing giant
Haier Group.
At No 3 is Liu Yonghao, of the privately run New Hope Group, who Forbes
says is the mainland's richest man.
He is followed by Liu Chuanzhi of Hong Kong-listed Legend Group;

manufacturing giant Sichuan Changhong; Xu Ming of Dalian Shide Group; Wang

Sun Media Group, and Wu Shihong, general manager of home appliance
manufacturing giant TCL Holdings.
The poll was conducted by Zero-point Opinion Poll Agency, which also
asked industry insiders to vote for their favourite entrepreneurs.
