"Neighborhood Pusher”

You know me
You see my spin on closed caption TV’s and read about in your local
newspapers
I sit on your community corners taking part in a variety of capers
I’m your neighborhood pusher

Don’t bend nor sway
Whether cold outside
Dark as night or bright as day
I am pushing more products then Amway
I’m your friendly neighborhood pusher

I got more in my jacket pocket
That would make you smile
I’ll
Give you a reason to come back in a short while
Can add you to the pile of my -
Climbing customer base…

I don’t give a damn about your race, creed or color
Whether you are a child, adult,
Friend, foe or brother
My prescriptions are for any donor with the right cash flow
I’m discrete won’t tell a single soul
I’m your trustworthy neighborhood pusher

Didn’t you know that I would grow my business with the up most speed?
Lead the masses to fulfill my greed
Doesn’t matter who is in my way
Live or die
I will get my say
Will develop myself and define the risk
Learn techniques and skills to make me the best street pharmacist
I’m your entrepreneur, your neighborhood pusher

Sure I could have continued to go to school
I’m not a fool
I was just never into those tough determining rules
I was never challenged in my classes
As a result of increased crime and decreased finances
All the teachers had a harder time teaching
This combined with the decrepit condition of the building
Low funding for extracurricular programming
What else did I have to do?
Only thing that I could do
Become another one: self-educated neighborhood pusher

Those schools never helped my mind elevate to the next plateau
Hell all I know
Is that I gots to stay in the game cause no one will hire a high school
drop
out…
From a low-income project coup, subsidized food stamps, watch youth
killing
youth and carry 2 felonies

A society that keeps telling me that I am the underclass
So I’ll just keep my ass – right on this sidewalk
While my people ask me for the best rock and the next up and coming
high
I
Will retrieve and succeed to multiply while relieving their weary minds
Cause if I don’t give it to them
Then some other NI%^A will

So I will be there for them when they call
24-7 tall or small
I will be all to the many that come
Never will I be done

Hell I don’t know
I guess I’m getting my education on this concrete
May not be college smart but I’m educated by the street
I can’t be beat and make your mind illuminate –
Don’t segregate or take part in affirmative actions
The corner store ain’t got nothing on my daily interactions
Which satisfies any appetite

I sit, stand and walk around
Never really moving my ground
Thoughts of dollars
Dreaming of getting paid
Diamonds, tight clothes
And escalades

I’m your neighborhood pusher
And I got you
I got you
All daylong
I’ll be here for you
Just come down and pay a visit
