Babbs7 joined the CFS and FMS Reclining Club in November of 1998.  She was very quiet, so we didn't know a lot about her.  Her friend, Nora, stopped by to tell us of Barb's death.  Thank you, Nora, for caring enough about your friend Barb, that you took care of her email and notifying her online friends.
Babbs7 was from Harwood Heights, a suburb of Chicago.  She was proud to be the mother of one son and grandmother of a grandson.

She enjoyed reading, especially science fiction and listed Babylon 5, Dune, and the Tek series as her favorites.

She collected celebrity autographed pictures and enjoyed meeting new friends on the internet.

At one time, she had 7 cats, 5 of whom were strays she had taken in.

Barb listed her wishes at thirdage.com.  "
First would be for good fortune....so I could build a house on the land my father left me. Secondly: to meet face to face with everyone I have spoken to since I came online. Third: to be able to go see my son more and to see my grandson."

The dreams she realized were "
My main dream when I was much younger was to make it on my own. This I have done. To marry a decent and loving person to spend the rest of my life with....my current husband and I have been married 17 yrs as of Oct. 16th, 1999. AND.... to find the child I had to give up for adoption....I met him 3 years ago and we have a bond of friendship right now."  Barb's husband died just a few months before her own death.

Barb or Babbs7, as we knew her, had several medical problems.  She was clinically deaf and needed a cane to walk.  She suffered from fibromyalgia.  An allergy to aspirin reduced the number of medicines she could use to control the pain.  She had chronic infections and migraines, suffered from degenerative disk disease, tendonities, fractured and herniated disks.
Rest in Peace, Barb.  You will be missed.
