If you happen to see a 6-foot tall, lovable, furry, creature roaming the sidelines at RBS sporting events, you have just met Champ the Bulldog. Champ can usually be found causing mischief and laughter wherever he goes. But don't be afraid, Champ is a big softy at heart. In fact, his favorite pasttime is giving all of the little Dawg fans BIG hugs:)

SPIRIT and TRADITIONS

The school colors of the Red Boiling Springs Athletic Teams have been the familiar Red and Grey as long as anyone can remember. The red is derived from the same red sulphur"healing" water that gave the town its name. Although the red is officially Scarlet Red, teams have suited up in every shade of red imaginable through the years. The grey is from the Grey English Bulldog which is the school's mascot. White was first seen on The Hill on early football jerseys, but did not become an official school color until the mid-80's when white became a permanent fixture on RBS's basketball jerseys. Recently black has also appeared on jerseys such as the '98 football team,which had a solid black home jersey with grey numbers, and basketball warm-ups. This trend began when the baseball team got black home jerseys to begin the 1995 season. The new gym floor also has a great deal of black highlites and shadows painted in.
