WAITING

You’ve been breaking my heart since I fell in love.
I cried for your love and kept having hope.
I knew you’d never love me, but I wished every night.
Why’d you give me that hope when there was nothing to give?
You made me fall again with that sweet little card (flat on my face).
Why’d you make me think we had a chance when we had nothing?
I was so happy I told them all, I’d been ready so damn long.
I bet now they’re all laughing, how could I be so dumb with all that hope?
I really wanted a kiss, I guess that you didn’t (or at least not from me).
My mind’s going crazy with this love in my  heart.
Waiting forever for you.
