July 30, 2004 The RELIC Band had it's last performance at the Chesapeake Jubilee this past May. With all that has happened the past 6 months and after the band doing a lot of soul searchin, The RELIC Band of Hampton Roads, Va. has officially called it quits. We'd like to thank each and everyone who supported us in the 2 1/2 years we have played the Hampton Roads area together. We've had some great times and met some great friends. We'd like to say May God Bless each and everone of you as well as saying we will miss performing and playing our music. We don't know what the future musically will bring for the remaining members of the band but I'm sure you will see us somewhere again. To you my friends I say one last time....."ROCK ON" July 29, 2004 Well it seems as if the summer has taken a toll on The RELIC Band. We have again lost another member of the band. One who was the backbone and a good friend and great bass player. Jim Egnot notified us today that he is resigning from the band . Jim will be missed so much but he will continue on with his music magic with his christian works. Where does this leave The RELIC Band? More to come soon. June 8, 2004 The RELIC Band announced today that it has hired a new guitarist/keyboardest.. Alex Woodland from Newport News, Va. has accepted our invitation to become a member of the band. Alex has worked a bit with us over the past two month's and we are glad to have him with us. June 1, 2004 The RELIC Band would like to thank you all for your support this past year. The band will be taking a short break/vacation as the summer starts up. Look for us to be back performing again in late August. May 25, 2004 The RELIC Band performed at CJ this past weekend and dedicated the show to Danny's 5 year old granddaughter who just the day before, got kicked by a horse in the face and had her nose broke at a horse show. She sat in the hospital the morning of the show and told her mom that she was disappointed because she could not go to see Granddad play at the Jubilee. A few hours later, the doctor released her from the hospital and her parents brought her out in a wagon to the Jubilee and she got chance to here the band and Granddad perform."God was with my little girl Saturday.", said Danny. "She touched my heart for what she said Sunday morning and I had to dedicate our show to her." To all who came out to watch us, we thank you. And to Jeff, again, many thanks. May 17, 2004 One year ago today The RELIC Bnad performed on a rainy and cold Saturday afternoon playing the Chesapeake Jubilee. This weekend, The RELIC Band returns to the Jubilee for the second year in a row to provide a rock-n good start to what's gearing up to be a great afternoon. Hope to see you there. April 22, 2004 Our web site has a new look and The RELIC Band a new band logo. Hope everyone likes the site changes. Let us know what you think. April 19, 2004 Back to rock-n again, The RELIC Band performed this past weekend at the Ice Sports Bar and Grill. We had a nice turn out and rocked Newport News. The band received many good comments from patrons and the staff and everyone seemed to enjoy the energy and music. The band introduced some new material and plans to continue to add to our set list as we rock on down the road. It was Bruce's last show with the band and the "Harp Man" as we call him put on a great performance. The band will miss him and would like to say to him, thanks for the ride. Up next, we perform at a private function in May. The band is preparing to do some studio work, do some restructure and learn some new materials. Many venues have contacted us wanting us to perform so rest assured, The RELIC Band will be rock-n Hampton Roads again when we visit the Chesapeake Jubilee on May 23rd. Keep checking our site and to those of you on our E-Mail list, you guys will be the first to no when our next show will be. Click here to view past RELIC News articles |
