PAGE 1 LOS ANGELES

Home. I don't live in LA anymore, There are so many things in LA one can take for granted, I never realized how many things there were to see and do in just one week if you actually tried.  I was too busy studying too much to really appreciate it all.  There are plenty of museums, galleries, clubs, stores and restaurants to go to.  There are so many cultures and languages and foods within 30min of each other.  There are plenty of scenic things to visit as you can see by some of my photos here.    Then its off to South Orange County to surf on the Beaches of San Clemente, what a life eh? Surf, Sun and Sand.  And In N' Out burgers!
Most photos here are with the Elan IIe and the night shots were with a 20mm 2.8F.  Turned out ok.

A shot from the Getty of dowtown Bev Hills on Wilshire.  The line atop Right is a 737 in for LAX, the exposure shows it as a line since it moved.

Some of my Plastic Models and hobbies
.
Bulgarian Italeri 1/72 models of Dobro and Ravnets.  And a Hasegawa F-15 and Fujimi BG Mig 21MF

Here is a set of German WWII peices.  The radar on the Me-110 was a toough on and of course got nailed in shipping.  The night camo was an airbrush challenge too.  I used a Badger150 but now bought an Iwata, we'll see how well it does.

My German WWII WaffenSS Diorama took 1st place at Tamiya!!!! took a month to make at about 2-3hrs everyday.  The German troops in WW2 used lots of cool and different camouflages and for modellers its always a fun challenge to replicate them.

Camo in the closet!!!  My uniform collecting spree.
I collect foreign camouflage uniforms.  But they do take a lot of space.

Paintball, realism for combat. And a ton of fun too! what a workout. This taught me an important lesson: don't get shotdown in combat!  Cause once on the ground, you are fair game!
Of note but with no photos I would like to talk about Professor Ray Lacoste from Cal State Long Beach, CSULB.  Ray made my stay in LA memorable by opening an academic and spiritual world hitherto unkown to me.  He teaches Comic Spirit and Literature classes and is perhaps one of the smartest and WISEST men I have ever met in my life.  If you do go to CSULB consider looking him up.  One of his quotes he uses from Jewel is "..in the end only kindness matters".
In my days and some bad days I reflect on tapes of Ray's class and notes in my notebooks,  I think there are role models and idols in life and then there are those who I wish was a better word for to describe their impact on your life.  If you ever do get a computer and email Ray........... Thanks.
