Being an Erskineville King, Archie was always very dedicated to activities he took part in. But recently, something about him had changed. I didn't notice until someone mentioned it to me - but the normally talkative and jocular Archie had been become very quiet and reserved - it was as if he was off in another world thinking about other, more important stuff.
But then everything became clear when I saw this advertisement (above). Archie had become a man of few words because he had been saving his voice, after hours of singing practise. He seldom participated in our conversations because, while in our naive minds, nothing could beat being an Erskineville King, Archie had better things to think about - Archie was dreaming about Broadway!
