This page is dedicated to all people who have had
or is on the waiting list for an organ transplant
In hope that it will help save a life.
If you do all that I have asked...
then I will live forever.
The greatest love in the world is that of a husband,
wife, mother, father, brother, sister, son or daughter.
SO why not become an organ donor today and help someone be
able to spend more time with their loved one.
I know you are asking yourself is the person who done
this page an organ donor? To answer that question, Yes
I am signed up to be an organ donor. You see my mother
got sick several years ago and was told that she would
need a liver transplant within the near future. Well
the time finally came that she needed that liver transplant
and she was put on the waiting list to recieve a transplant.
Now that is when I started thinking that their was some person
out there that would be saving my mother's life because of
being an organ donor. It was at that time that I made the
decision to become and organ donor, because I thought to myself
someone is going to safe her life so I want to be able to give
someone the same joy that someone had given my family when
they decided to be an organ donor. My mother had her liver
transplant 6 months after she was put on the waiting list and
that has now been about 8 years and she is doing great. So
why don't you sign up to be a donor today and give someone the
gift of LIFE so that they might be able to spend a little more
time with a family that loves them.
TO REMEMBER ME
At a certain moment a doctor
will determine that my brain
has ceased to function and that
for all intents and purposes,
my life has stopped.
When that happens, do not
attempt to instill artificial life
into my body by the use of a machine,
and don't call this my deathbed.
Call it my "bed of life" and
let my body be taken from it to help
others lead fuller lives.
Give my sight to a man who
has never seen a sunrise, a
baby's face, or the love in the
eyes of a woman.
Give my heart to a person
whose own heart has caused
nothing but endless days of pain.
Give my blood to the teenager
who has been pulled from the
wreakage of his car, so that he
might live to see his grandchildren play.
Give my kidneys to one who
depends on a machine to exist
from week to week.
Take my bones, every muscle,
every fiber and nerve in my
body and find a way to make a
crippled child walk.
Explore every corner of my brain,
take my cells, and let them grow
so that someday a speechless boy
will shout at the crack of a bat
and a deaf girl will hear the sound of rain
against her windows.
Burn what is left of me and
scatter the ashes to the winds
to help the flowers grow.
If you must bury something,
let it be my faults,
my weaknesses, and all
my prejudice against my fellow man.
Give my sins to the Devil.
Give my soul to God.
If, by chance, you wish to remember me,
do it with a kind deed or word to
someone who needs you.
If you do all I have asked,
I will live forever.
