-TwentyOneRest, Power Figure, And Eternity, and Little Johnny's Rocket-
The Epicentre
Funny story again. But, most of my stories are only funny to me, but hey.. That's alright.

My friend Erin and I decided to go down to the Epicentre together, and we decided to pick up this kid Jacob who eventually ended up with blue balls on the way home, but we'll get to that later. Lori drove herself with two of her friends from waterpolo (not surprising), and Danni couldn't come for some strange reason I can't remember. Before we left however, Erin and I stopped at Vons to get some Red Bull. You see, I started some wierd ritual where I have to drink four Red Bull's before a TwentyOneRest concert. Why? I don't know. I'm a loser like that. But, it started that night, and it hasn't ended since then. And, four you ask.. well.. that started with Nick.. Long story.

Anyway, so we're driving down there, on the 5 to the 805, passed Midway, and kept on driving. I had downed two of the four by then, and then we pulled up. No one was there, naturally we were early, we're always early. So, we parked, I drank another Red Bull and we decided to go for a walk to Taco Bell. So, we're walking and Jacob thinks he's gonna get some, riight, didn't happen, but anyway. So, we get to Taco Bell and we're all using the bathrooms, and guess who's in the bathroom? Lori! Funny thing. So, we chit-chatted, and all decided to meet, guess where? The Epicentre! So, yea.

We headed back to the Epicentre, and it was dark by then. So, we're sitting outside, and Lori shows up and we're all sitting there, and I'm trying to drink my last Red Bull and she steals it from me. Bitch. LoL. But, it's ok. It's Lori. Lydia shows up and her friend Jill that knows Brant, and we're talking. And, then Anne, McCaire, Lauren, and all of these other people I told to go show up like Chelsea and Mike. It was a grand 'ol time. Yay for me. LoL. And, we're all sitting there. Then, I see Weston's car. I love that car. And, then I saw Brant. I said 'hi', and guess what? He blew me off again. Not surprising. I think I might've said 'hi' to Weston, but I know I said 'hi' to Aaron, and he sorta replied, but I think he thinks I'm nuts. So, whatever. Schmitt was there though and he was all flirting with Lori inside. I think he remembered her from the
May19th RxDrama show.

So, anyway. We all ended up being first in-line to buy tickets, and thus we were the first one's inside. We watched the first band set up and decided to stand around and talk and be completely moronic. Not surprising. We're in highschool. So, Power Figure was the first band on. I don't remember much about them because they were't that good. They were kinda old, so it was kinda scary. But, Chelsea was hanging all over Mike, they weren't together then, and she was also totally flirting with Jacob. Thus, how the blue balls began. And, then there was Lori who was off in some corner.. She's wierd.

So, Power Figure goes off and And Eternity comes on. Now, this band was kinda wierd. They were one of those bands that screams the whole time aqnd it's supposed to be words but you never really know what they're saying.. They were like that. But, it was really good. The music was really good. And, they had this doll.. Now, the thing about this doll, was that it was totally disfigured, and dismembered for that matter. If I remember correctly, it had no arms, it's entire body was impaled on a metal stake which ran through the vertical length of it's body and through it's head. And, it was just all messed up. But, it was the coolest thing ever. Why? I don't know. It was just cool looking.

And Eternity wasn't half bad, but they weren't super good either, but it's alright. The doll made it all worth it. And, during the course of their show, Chelsea decides that she's going to start playing 'drums' on McCaire's, Erin's and my own boobs. It was really quite funny. Jacob thought it was great. Not surprising. Lori just kept on looking at me all funny. Whatever. Erin, Mike and I found that yelling 'penis' in a crowd doesn't do much, but if you yell 'vagina', everyone will turn around and stare. It's actually quite interesting. You all should try it someday.

But, anyway. And Eternity went off and TwentyOneRest went on. Yay! Now, there was a lot of tension before this show. I don't know if there was amongst the band, but there was amongst me. It was the first show in quite a long time, due to a lot of underlying circumstances. So, I was all paranoid of the worse. Well, they went on and opened with 'Moon-Calf Friend', I was so stoked. It honestly was so good. They were so lively on stage, the presence was amazing. Aaron hit every note, it was beautiful. You don't understand, that song is SO good live, when it's perfect. And, it was SO perfect. After that they went into 'She Said', Lori was ecstatic. It was so funny. We have these ridiculous gestures to that song that correspong with the chorus and we were doing them and cracking up the entire time, I think everyone else around us thought we were nuts, but it's ok.

So, let's see after that was 'Light Show', one of the new unrecorded songs, and that was fantastic. Then, 'Know Me', which, like 'Moon-Calf Friend', is SO good live, and it was. It was beautiful. They played 'Her Way', which I don't much care for, but it was there. 'Eating Tinfoil' was after that, and that song is so awesome, but there's this one line that always gets to me.. "Stop living your life for someone else".. Yea.. 'Closer to the Ground' was after that, followed by 'Puddles', which I finally decided that I like. Now that song gets stuck in my head so easily.

The Epicentre only wanted TwentyOneRest to play nine songs, due to the time, but they had two more left after that, so.. They decided not to pause in between songs. They played 'Sorry' and then ran it straight into 'Drifter', it was great. The Epicentre shut off the lights and they kept on playing, What can you do? It was awesome. We were all stoked. 'Drifter' has special meaning to me.. It's a lot like my best friend Alex and I, if you listen to it and think of it from him, it makes sense. It's kinda cool. But, yea.

They went off, and I had to go do my work and talk to the band. Marissa, Weston's girlfriend, was selling TwentyOneRest t-shirts, and Erin bought one. I didn't have the money, but it's alright. I finally got around to talking to Weston, who really is a rather intersting person, so seeing him there was nice. Aaron was still a little sketchy. I haven't decided if it was because of everything that had happened up until then, or if it's due to the fact that he doesn't care for me much. Who knows. But, we had a brief conversation, about.. something.. All of my friends have the hott's for Sean. I said hi to him, told him I liked the dreads, and that was about it. I got a hug out of it though, so that was nice. I got flyers from Drew for the next two shows, which was good. I never saw Brant after that or Schmitt.

Either way we all left. Went to Taco Bell actually, and wrote down song titles. Not to the TwentyOneRest songs, but wierd song titles that Erin and I were thinking of. You see we started this list of wierd song titles earlier that week, so if we ever got in a band we'd never have to think of song titles. Do we have lyrics? No. But, we have song titles. We drove home after that. Jacob was in the back complaining about blue balls and how no one would help him. It was all Chelsea's fault. She was the one running her hands down his pants. LoL. We stopped by Alex's, and laughed at him because he had a bum leg at the time.

But, most importantly, that show was the best TwentyOneRest had ever played. They were so pumped, they were so good. Never has there been a show that had that much energy. It was SO good. I just wish they played that good all of the time. But, you can't have everything now can you?
