CHARLIE'S ANGELS
Never has such a fun band been so cruelly overlooked!  Charlie's Angels started off in dingy Camden venues, but six months later they were performing at the Albert Hall to 5000 screaming teenagers as support to PJ & Duncan.

There were only ever three singles and one album, ironically titled 'Greatest Hits Vol.1' (released in 1995), but whilst the Spice Girls were taking the pop world by storm, a band who took themselves a lot less seriously was also emerging. Signed to independent label ORG records, they were described as a teen-powered Bananarama for Sex Pistols fans, and their singles were reminiscent of Blondie, Shampoo, and of course, Bananarama.

TV appearances were plentiful during the 'girl power' era, with the Angels appearing on the Girlie Show, The White Room and Big Breakfast. They also appeared at the Pheonix festival, toured with the Miss-17 Roadshow and inevitably were successful in Japan.

Frothy singles such as 'It's Never Gonna Happen To Me' and '(I Wanna Be) Your Baby' sat alongside weird, dark, comic songs such as 'Earnest the Murdering Bear' on their only album. However, soon after it was released, things fell silent in the Charlies's Angels camp, despite them catching the attention of none other than Sex Pistols impresario Malcolm McClaren.

The whereabouts and subsequent activities of Charlie's Angels is currently unknown.
