CRAZYHEAD
Formed in Leicester (UK) in 1986, Crazyhead signed to the up and coming Food label, and instantly found success in the independent charts. '(What Gives You the Idea that) You're So Amazing Baby' and 'Baby Turpentine' were typical of their output, which mostly consisted of garage fuelled rock 'n' roll with dirt and grease under it's fingernails.

Lumped in with the media-created 'grebo' scene (which essentially featured any band from the Midlands with guitars and a liking for leather jackets), their third single 'Time Has Taken It's Toll On You' fared worse than it's predecessors, and their moment seemed to have passed.  Debut album 'Desert Orchid' featured the singles and another garage rock gem 'Rags', but on it's release in 1988 it met with a disinterested public, and the band were dropped by their label within a year.

The follow-up 'Some Kind of Fever', released on Black Records in 1990, was notable only for single 'Everything's Alright', with the remaining tracks on the whole sounding too formularised to regain the attention lost since their debut.

A live album was issued three years later, but little has been heard of them since, so it would seem that they have now disbanded. Their finest moment remains the frenetic guitar rush of their second single 'Baby Turpentine'.
