This web site was created on January 17, 2001. I don't think it will be updated anytime soon since my time is limited and even though it is fun, it is also work!

The MIDI file you are currently listening to is TELSTAR! TELSTAR is a instrumental rock song originally done by a British group--The Tornadoes--in Autumn 1962. The Tornadoes' TELSTAR even hit #1 on the charts too! A popular American group, The Ventures--known for "Walk, Don't Run"--also did TELSTAR in Autumn 1962, but didn't release it as a single. (The Tornadoes did it for them!) Obviously, this MIDI version of TELSTAR is not by either the Tornadoes or the Ventures. I forgot exactly where I got this version of TELSTAR as I have several versions. But, if you would like to know where I receive some of my MIDI files from, click here. There are more sites I get MIDI files from, so this is only a sample. Enjoy listening to TELSTAR while you browse through my web site. I am also an avid listener of instrumental music from the very late 50's and 60's.
TELSTAR also was the name of the very first television satellite. Interesting, huh? Take care!
