An Appeal for Devotion to Christ the King
It was in 1925 that His Holiness Pope Pius XI announced the official Feast Day of Christ the King. He warned the Faithful of the dangers facing them: modernism, the pagan nationalism and communism. The Holy Father was as plain and simple as he could be. He said that it was not possible to be both a socialist and a true Catholic and that everyone must recognize the absolute authority of Christ the King over every part of their lives. Only today can we see clearly what Pius XI was warning us about. The world is becoming dangerously close to a tyranny greater than any ever witnessed before as everyone around the world is forced to submit to the same liberal, socialistic ideology and culture of death.
Devout Faith is attacked and being a fundamentalist of any religion is now associated with being a murdering fanatic. Tradition has become a bad word, monarchies are suppressed where they once existed and ignored largely where they still reign. Even the Papacy, fountain of royal power, has been stripped of its monarchic traditions. The Faithful have tried to reason and bargain with the enemy
but you cannot make a fair deal with a group that wants nothing less than your total destruction. Take the case of the monarchies around the world (at least where they remain). When the movement began for so-called "liberal" governments (which never live up to their own liberal ideal truly) the monarchs and traditionalists tried to work with them. In Britain Queen Elizabeth refrains from using any of her legal authority out of respect of public opinion. Yet, how do the liberals thank her leniency? By attacking the monarchy and all royal traditions in Britain.
When the disciples met with failure in exorcising a demon they asked Jesus the reason for their failure. Jesus replied, "
Because you have little faith. I tell you solemnly, if you had even as much faith as a tiny mustard seed you could say to that mountain, 'move from here to there' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible for you." According to God all things are possible, and so, even with the terrible condition of the world, we still have a chance to turn things around and get back on the right track. That is why I want to appeal to everyone who will view these pages, to plead with you as solemnly as I can plead, to submit yourself to the King of Heaven and turn away from the lies and debasement of the world! We can yet restore tradition and holiness in the world. If every Christian stopped negotiating with their enemies and trying to appease those who wish to destroy us, call good good and evil evil, we could yet prevail. If God is with us who could possibly stand against us?
How can this be accomplished? Through prayers, by becoming involved. Don't just be a Christian for one day out of the week and don't allow your enemies to frighten you into silence. Speak out boldly in defense of Christ the King. "Fear God and honor the Emperor". Help the monarchists in wherever country you live to restore a traditional and God-focused government to the land. The rule of the King of Heaven must govern not only our spiritual opinions but how we live our lives, who we oppose and who we support, how we conduct our affairs and how we treat others.
Go to Church! Be honest with yourself, confess your crimes and hear Mass. If you can hear the Latin Mass in your area I would recommend that as a priority, remind yourself what worship was like in Christendom of old. Read the works of the early Church Fathers, study the Bible and do not become demoralized by the world around you (which is a constant struggle). We must reject every form of communism, which is tyrannical and atheistic. We must also fight against materialism of the capitalist society and the absolute rule of money. Keep an eye to the Pope and your mind focused on God. Remember, it is not hard to find the right path to follow--it is usually the one that is most difficult. Nothing good comes from following the crowd!
So, follow the crown and not the crowd. Pray the Rosary, seek the help of the saints for inspiration and intercession. The situation seemed bleak for St Joan of Arc, but in the end it was her cause that prevailed. Subject yourself to the King of Heaven, He will hear you and when you sit alone in darkness He will be a light unto you. Remember, God did not choose the powerful but the weak, not the wise but the foolish, and those who are nothing at all to bring to ruin those who are everything.
Restore Christendom!
