WE BELIEVE

1. We believe the Bible, the Holy Scriptures, to be the inspired Word of God, the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and practice, and the true basis of Christian union and fellowship (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; 1 Corinthians 2:13).

  2.
We believe in the triune Godhead in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
The Father, Who is Spirit, infinite and eternal and unchangeable in all His attributes (John 4:24; Exodus 34:6).
The Son, Jesus Christ: His Deity, virgin birth, sinless exaltation at God's right hand, and personal return (John 1:1; Isaiah 7:14; Hebrews 7:26; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; John 10:38; John 17; Galatians 4:4; 1 Timothy 3:16).
The Holy Spirit, Who is a Divine Person, equal with the Father and the Son and of the same nature (John 15:26).

  3.
We believe in the personality of Satan, who is called the devil (Revelation 20:2).

  4.
We believe man was created by God, that through disobedience he became dead in trespasses and sins. He is entirely dependent on the mercy of God and is unable to earn his own salvation (Genesis 1:26; Genesis 2:7; Romans 3:9-23; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3; Genesis 3).

  5.
We believe that Salvation is through the Sovereign Grace of God alone and that it is appropriated by faith in the atoning sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ Who died on the cross for our sin and rose again to eternal life. We believe that we are justified by faith alone, and that repentance is wrought in our soul by the regenerating Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) (Ephesians 2:8; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 5:8-11; Romans 4:25; John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10; Titus 3:4-7; Acts 1:11; John 5:28-29; Romans 5:1: Colossians 1:14; Hebrews 9:12).

  6.
We believe that every believer is sanctified upon acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Corinthians 7:1).

  7.
We believe in the Lordship of Christ in the believer and the Church (Ephesians 1:22-23; Ephesians 5:25-32).

  8.
We believe that regeneration (the New Birth) is a change of heart wrought by the Holy Spirit, whereby we become partakers in the divine nature and a holy disposition is given, leading to the love and practice of righteousness. It is the work of God's free grace conditional upon faith in Christ and made manifest by the fruit which we bring to the glory of God (Acts 2:39-47).

  9.
We believe in the priesthood of all believers - that the only mediator between God and man is Jesus Christ ( 1 Timothy 2:5).

10.
We believe in the Baptism of Believers only, by immersion, in obedience to the Command of Christ (Matthew 28:10-20; Acts 2:41; Acts 8:37-38; Romans 6:3-5).
We believe in the Baptism with the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, with the initial scriptural evidence; namely speaking in tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4; Acts 8:14-17; Acts 19:1-6; Galatians 3:15-15).

11.
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians, being exercised and practiced as made manifest in the early church (1 Corinthians 12-14).

12.
We believe in the Lord's Supper, commemorative of His death, as a privilege of all believers (Luke 22:7-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-24).

13.
We believe that God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual. All that we have and are we owe to Him. We have a spiritual debtor-ship to the whole world, a holy trusteeship in the Gospel, and a binding stewardship in our possessions. We are therefore under obligation to serve Him with our time, talents and material possessions, and should recognize all these as entrusted to us for the glory of God and helping others (1 Corinthians 16:2; Malachi 3:10).

14.
We believe in the evangelistic, missionary, social and educational task as primary in the life and program of the Church, in accordance with the great commission of Christ (Matthew 28:18-20; Matthew 25:34-40; 1 Corinthians 16:1-3).

15.
We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, and the eternal reward of the righteous and the retribution of the wicked (Acts 1:11; John 5:28-29; Luke 16:19-31; John 14:13; Revelation 20:11-15; Revelation 21:7-8; Revelation 22:12).

16.
We believe in the right of freedom of conscience and the liberty of worship for all people (Acts 24:16; Matthew 4:10).

17.
We believe in the separation of Church and State (Romans 13:1; 1 Peter 2:13-16).

18. We believe in the Theocratic government of the Church under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, working through the Pastors, Elders and Deacons (Acts 20:28; Acts 6:5; Acts 15:6).

19.
We believe in the Church associated with other churches and their dependent conventions and associations for fellowship, counsel, mutual assistance, and the furtherance of Christ's Word (1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 1 Corinthians 16:1-3; Romans 15:26; Ephesians 6:18).

The Church shall be in affiliation with all Christian Churches that teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord.
