1996 The INESC issue of Passarinho
In the 9 th October 1996 the I.N.E.S.C. APM 200 machine was used again with a new ATM that was issued . This machine was used before in 1995 during a very short period of time to issue the Ciclista and Galinhas ( without points ) ATMīs .
The ATM issued in 1996 to be used in the machine was the ATM Passarinho ( Litlle Bird ) .
This ATM was design by Vítor Santos and it shows a yellow bird . The standart values of this ATM were : 45 ; 75 ; 95 ; 200 PTE and the Correio Azul values of 75 ( national ) and 350 ( international ) PTEīs . The receipts were printed in a normal white paper ( just like the others ATMīs used before in this machine ) .

From the 18 th December 1996 to the 7 th January 1996 the same machine has printed in thes ATMīs the message Feliz Natal ( Merry Christmas ) with a figure of Santa Claus . It was possible to make same F.D.C.īs for this nwe printing with the special Christmas postmark from the 24 th December 1996 . The standart values for this ATM with message were the same from the ones issued before .

Like in the other ATM issues it was possible to obtain some errors and varieties like double printings , missing numbers , with the ANULADO ( annulled ) printing and many others .

The unissued varietys
There also also several unissued ATMīs of this issue like other Christmas motives printed , like a pair of bells and a Christmas tree . There is also a similar printing with Páscoa Feliz ( Happy Easter ) and with the figure of a festive egg . These ATMīs are real ( they can be see sometimes in specialized colections in philatelic exibithions ) but they are considerated not issued , only demonstrative issues . They are very rare ATM material .

This ATMīs whas later used ( in the 2 nd August 1999 ) in the Crouzet machines and later in the same Crouzet machines but with the value printing also in Euro ( that started in the 7 th August 1999 ) .
