1997 The Portugal 98 issues ( Klüssendorf/Olivetti , Crouzet and INESC )
In the 9 th October 1997 a new ATM was issued to use in all the machines that existed in the time in Portugal ( Klüssendorf , Olivetti , Crouzet and INESC ) . All the ATM´s whore design by Filipa Rego and they show a Astrolábio ( a instrument of maritime navigation ) that was the logotype of Portugal 98 ( the International Philatelic Exibithion ) . The standart values for these ATM´s were : 45 ; 80 ; 100; 140 PTE . Note that the Klüssendorf machine model 631 has also issued the values of Correio Azul A 75 ( national ) and A 350 ( international ) PTE´s . This printing was not possible in the Olivetti machine ( where the ATM recharch paper was the same ) . For the Crouzet and INESC machines ( that used the same ATM recharch paper ) it was also possible to obtain the Correio Azul values of 75 ( national ) and 350 ( international ) PTE´s . About the receipts , they were printed as usual : white paper for the Klüssendorf , Olivetti and INESC machines ( althow all diferent ) and in a ATM paper for the Crouzet machines .

It was also possible to make some maximum cards with these ATM´s

In the Klüssendorf issue it was also possible to obtain some ATM´s with some nice and rare printing errors like double printings , missing numbers , 0 value printing ( the printing test of this machine ) and many others .
In the INESC issue it was possible to obtain some errors and varieties like double printings , missing numbers , with the ANULADO ( annulled ) printing and many others .
In the Crouzet issue it was possible to obtain some errors and varieties like double printings , missing numbers , TEST IMPRIMANTE printing and many others like rare statistic ATM´s ( with printing Taxas em Serviço ) and others mentioning the coin storage of the machine . Another variety was the printing in violet instead of the normal black printing .

The Portugal 98 Crouzet ATM was later used ( in 7 th August 1999 ) in the same Crouzet machines ( during a very short period of time ) but with the value printing also in Euro .
