Brasil Frama Issues
The ATM era started in Brasil ( and in South America ) with the introduction in 1979 of a Frama FE 254 machine by the time of the XVIII Congress of the U.P.U. in Rio de Janeiro .
At that time ( from the 15 th to the 23 rd September 1979 ) this machine has issued a ATM regarding to that event . It was possible to obtain values from the minimum value of 0,10 to 98,90 Cruzeiros and the standart values of 2,5 ; 4,5 and 6,00 Cruzeiros .
The machine was located in the Hotel Nacional during a very short period of time .

The second Frama ATM issue
In the 10 th June 1981 another ATM was issued , but this time using a Frama FE 134 machine .

In total ten Frama machines ( all models FE 134 ) were used until the end of 1981 in diferent cities and locations . Each one of these machines could printed their serial number ( from 00001 to 00010 ) in the ATM . The characters VA mean Venda Automatica ( Automatic Sale , in english ) .The following table shows the location of the machines acording to their serial number .

It was possible to obtain ATM´s from the minimum value of 1,00 to 99,00 Cruzeiros and the standart values of 7,00 ; 12,00 and 18,00 Cruzeiros .
No oficial F.D.C. was prepared for this issue , but it was possible to made some very nice covers with this Frama issue .

Beyond this kind of covers , it was possible to made some interesting maxicards with this Frama issue .

The third Frama ATM (?) issue
At the same time , another Frama machine was introduced , but it was the SG 15 model . Ten of these machines were also used until the end of 1981 .
There is however , some discussions if this issue is realy a ATM or not , since that it carrys the date of the paper , but I will mention it here .

This Frama SG 15 model machines could also print their respective number in the paper ( from 00001 to 00010 ) after the AG characters from Agência wich means the agency post office .
It was possible to obtain several values from a minimum of 0,1 to 99,99 Cruzeiros and the standart values of 7,00 ; 12,00 and 18,00 Cruzeiros .
No oficial F.D.C. was prepared for this issue , but it was also possible to made some very nice covers with this Frama issue .
