The portuguese discovereres arrive in Japan by 1543 in the edge of the Muromachi period ( 1316-1573 ) .

The portuguese were called « Nambam » , wich means South Barbarian by the Japaneese , due to the lack of cortesy measures .

It is largely knowed that the portuguese were the first to introduce the fire arms in Japan , concretly in the Tanegashima island .

However these were not the only relations between the two cultures , since that there whore about 4000 portuguese origin words in the japaneese language .

However this great relationship finished in 1614 , when the Tokugawa Dinasty decides to expel the foreight from Japan . This measure was influence by the growing influence of the missionary in the japaneese internal affairs .
