Introducing New Head of
Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi
Swami Shantatmanandaji
15th April, 2007 onwards
Swami Shantatmanandaji is a senior Monk of the Ramakrishna Order with more than three decades of exprerience in various capacities in this organization.  He had the good fortune of spending almost the entire period of his monastic life in Belur Math, the Headquarters of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission and he inherited the great and noble traditions of the Order.

During the course of his monastic life, he had also the good fortune of coming in contact with great souls like Swami Vireswaranandaji, Swami Gambhiranandaji, Swami Bhuteshanandaji and Swami Ranganathanandaji, who had all occupied the highest position of the President of the order and had brought a good name for the organization and by their spiritual stature, greatly inspired the other Sadhus of the Order.

While at the Headquarters in Belur Math, Swami Shantatmanandaji handled the most complicated Accounts and Audit Department very efficiently.  In July 2002 when it was decided in Belur Math to set up a separate Provident Fund Trust for their employees at the headquarters as well as in all their branches in india, Swami Shantatmanandaji was mainly instrumental in setting up this Trust.  He was also doing a lot of liaison work at the Headquarters and consequently he visited Delhi a number of times to carry on liaision work with Government offices and other public personalities, and so he is quite familiar with many of the devotees and volunteers of the Delhi Ashrama.

Swami Shantatmanandaji also conducted many discourss and talks on religious and spiritual matters in English, Bengali, Tamil and also Hindi on rare occasions.

In view of all this, we sincerely hope that his coming to Delhi as the Head of the centre will fulfill the aspirations of all sections of society.
