CD INITIATIVE

When you're in the car with the same people for hours at a time, staying sane and pacific requires two things: food, and more importantly MUSIC. The whole atmosphere can be dramatically revolutionized by the right song. I have the best memory of driving down Lake Mary Blvd with my best friend, my friend who was jealous of her, and a guy i barely knew. Things were going alright but there wasnt any MAGIC to the trip yet. AND THEN IT HAPPENED." Downtown," by Petula Clark came on. We all got quiet, and someone reached to turn the volume on max. With the windows down the sparks flew. We all were singing, smiling at eachother, laughing, and the breeze was amazing. The moment was beautiful, coasting down the road and shooting over a quick hill. The foundation for the night was based on the unity we all felt rocking out to great old motown.                        So thats where you come in, oh glorified reader. We need you. I can only take this van so far with my own stockpile of arsenal. I can only keep the mood light for so long before the headaches start and bickering is baring down on us.

What I'm asking for is a few minutes of your time to create a CD or TAPE from your own collection. Yeah, I know we're strangers and it may seem like a lot. In return, of course there's an "in return," you will recieve a post card from us that HOPEFULLY, as I'm working on the technological aspects, is a photo of us at some point along the trip. We are working on a more indepth project that will impact you recieving more like a package with small crafts and whatnot. Who knows! We want to share our times with you, who supplied the soundtrack to that time... ! You know you like to get mail, so really! Why not?

So what exactly do we want? ANYTHING. Between the three participants, every single genre is pretty well covered. We're providing a list of each of our own tastes, but don't let that serve as an hinderance to letting your personal tastes guide us down I-20. Please, expose us to someting! Aything! Everything!

We definately have to pause and give a shout out to the girls who came up with this brilliant plan. Check out their site to see how they inspired me to beg for the swap. In 2002 Ginger moved cross country and got plenty more than a handful of cds from random people.
