ROAMER SUPERYACHTS |
All hail, the Roamer King! |
Chris-Craft had decided to enter the international yacht market in 1985. The design package anticipated the construction of ten motor yachts in three different sizes, a 95 foot Raised Pilot House, and a 110' (shown above) and 136' tri-deck - to be built in aluminum with fine wood interiors. |
While respecting the century long tradition of the Chris-Craft name the yachts were designed by Luiz De Basto with a strong personality, yet modern and timeless. Advertised by Chris-Craft and introduced at the Miami Boat Show and published in magazines all over the world in 1985, the overall designs are still elegant and up-to-date. |
Stellican, LTD - the new owners of Chris-Craft (2000) apparently may pursue this direction. While still committed to the "new" line (22' Runabout, 26' Constellation, and 39' Roamer) CC's President, Mr. Steven Heese may already be developing proto-types to knock the socks off Palmer-Johnson and company. Let's hope he builds in aluminum and tips his hat to the timeless designs of Richard Avery - he couldn't go wrong, eh Roamer fans? |
