Robert and Anna get to work on finding the treasure. They're going to break into Sean's penthouse to see what they can find. Scene takes place in their car outside Sean's building.
Robert: Why aren't the lights out? Anna: Hmm. It's a shame he doesn't have a woman. Then the lights would be out. Robert: Hmm. Maybe I gave you the wrong assignment. (He smiles) Anna (shocked) You wouldn't dare. Robert: I don't know. It's not a bad idea. Anna: It's one of your worst and you've had some pretty bad ones in your time. Robert: Hey be nice. Otherwise I'll go solo on you. Anna (laughs) Too late. You're stuck with me now. Besides I bought this outfit and I can't exchange it. (She's wearing a black jumpsuit). Robert: If you want to know the truth... I'm sorry you've got to be a part of this. Anna: Who better? (Robert raises an eyebrow) Robert (looks her up and down, smiles) You look pretty good in black though. Anna: Well you couldn't really ask for the usual police assistance. I mean you didn't have much choice. Robert: I know. Anna: Well then stop feeling so guilty. Robert: I'll check the lights again in a minute. (He checks his watch) Anna: I'll do it. Robert: Getting restless legs are we? Anna: (her eyes gleaming) No, I'm just craving a little bit of action. Robert: Well, you'll get it soon. I mean, this isn't too bad, is it? Anna: No. I'm very glad I'm here actually. Thank you. (There's a momentary lull in the conversation. She absent-mindedly starts humming Waltzing Matilda and stops when she realizes what she's doing and notices that he hears her) Silly, isn't it? The more things change... Robert: The more they remain the same. (He looks down) You haven't asked me about my chat with Holly. Anna: Well, I just thought you'd tell me when you're ready. Robert: Not much to tell. She was too angry to want to talk to me. Anna: I'm sorry. How can I... Robert: Uh look. It doesn't...it's too late to back out now. Especially if we're gonna get that treasure. They quietly get out of the car and head over to Sean's. |
