Anna Devane went to Port Charles with the position of secretary lined up for her at Sean Donely's office. They used it as a cover for their joint fencing of the Aztec treasure. Turning Robert's life upside down, she threw herself smack in the middle of Robert and Holly's relationship. Holly had no idea what Robert and Anna's past entailed. Robert wanted to have nothing to do with Anna, but he couldn't help but think back to their past and how it could change his future with Holly. The scene here starts with Robert in his WSB room at home typing in "request info on Anna Devane". Anna walks in and interrupts.

Anna: Am I clean?

Robert: Don't be facetious. It doesn't become you.

Anna: Holly wouldn't like to hear you say that.

Robert: Holly isn't here so you can forget the manipulation. (he gets up and walks over to his desk, standing with his back to her)

Anna: And what exactly does that mean?

Robert: It means you're not gonna work for Sean.

Anna: (matter of factly) He needs a secretary.

Robert: (faces her) I don't want you in Port Charles.

Anna: Well, I'm sorry but I'm finding this a very nice little town all of the sudden.

Robert: How many different ways do I have to tell you to get out of this town and to stay out of my life.

Anna: I don't take orders from you, Robert. (she walks away angrily)

Robert: (follows her) You take orders from anybody where there's a buck involved! Now you want money for your plastic surgery? Ha!

Anna: I don't want your money.

Robert: Then leave anyway. (they stare at each other intensely, neither willing to back down)

Anna: I'll do as I please!

Robert: I'm warning you, Anna!

Anna: (laughs) What? What are you gonna do, talk? I'm staying and there is nothing that you can do about it. (she walks out)
