Our dear friend, Debbie Allen

Hi!  Maryland has been my home since birth.  I attended college at Catholic University and I work as a mainframe programmer for the Department of Justice in Washington D. C.   Just now, I live directly in the middle of Baltimore and DC, but I rarely visit Baltimore.  My only child, Nicole, is in her senior year of high school.  She likes to figure skate, dance, sing and perform.   I have spent the last several years show-ferring her around.  : )

I love to collect.  My collection consists of old children's books, especially those from the 40's with the cute illustrations;  figure skating, expecially figurines and books; and of course Zorro, although my collection consists mostly of videos, old comics and magazines.  Nicole's collection (it's heriditary) consists of anything Little Orphan Annie, Strawberry Shortcake and Care Bears. Nicole introduced me to Zorro a couple of years ago.  She remembers when the show was on Disney in the evenings when she was around six and complains that the theme has been shortened on the current shows.  We both love Guy's SMILE!  We talk about 'doing a Zorro' when we've encountered a crusty situation in everyday life and managed to get out unscathed.  We have learned a lot about life and heroes from our dear Zorro. I just love all of the people on the GWF!  I love reading everyone's posts and sharing all things Zorro.  You're Z-best! Debbie Allen

Hi To Our New Members, We have a very special group of people here, very warm and caring.  And Ms. Debbie, I would say you have a wonderful way with words, expecially those spoken from the heart. I live in Texas, close to Houston.  We have a small stable/farm with way too many animals.  Horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and pet birds.  I work at a vet clinic so I can afford to take care of all these critters and my daughter, too. I recently lost my husband to throat cancer.  So I encourage anyone who smokes to please stop.  It is not worth the misery. I admire Zorro so much because of the goodness in the show.  The humor and the forgotten ideals of the time.  It is great to see the good "guy" win through his ingenuity without all the bloodshed.  Plus Digo is rather pleasing to the eye! Any way, that's enough about me, Lena
