I am divorced after 28 years of marriage. I taught English and social studies at the secondary level for almost 30 years for the Grand Rapids, Adrian and Jackson Public School systems in Michigan. I am now retired and live West of Jackson, Michigan on 20 acres. I have always wanted a horse. Now I have six of them-- Four Tennessee Walking horses and two Quarter horses. There is also a year old Spotted Standard Donkey (a rescue) that also helps to makes live interesting and fun. I share my house with a German Shepherd and a Yellow Lab, plus four parrots (Grey Cheeked Parakeet, African Gray Timneh and a Yellow Collared Macaw and Blue Gold Macaw). My hobbies include trail and parade riding, photography, landscaping my yard and running (kind of) agility courses with my shepherd. Eventually, I want to cut down on the number of animals and lawn work so I will have more time to post on the List and to travel. |
