Buenos Dias, Amigos!

I'm Carolynn, from South Lyon, Michigan.  I'm 45, have 3 boys (i.e.My Three Sons), Jeremy 16, Reuben 13, and Gabriel 9.  My husband Gunnar is from Sweden where we lived seven years.  The two older boys were born there.

I have one SharPei, three Gordon Setters, two cats and a rabbit.  I'm a homemaker.  I love horses and hope to get my application in to Horses Haven soon.  If approved I will adopt one or two horses because I miss riding a lot.  I had to put my own horse down about five years ago.

I'm a Barbie collector and a plate collector (hummingbirds or Setters).  I like music boxes, collect 45's and other LPs.  I have a ceramic troll collection that is probably unlike any in the US.  They are from Sweden as are the illustrations and sagas they come from.

I also like to learn other languages.  I'm proud to say I have a knack for language.  There are some I don't wish to learn.  I pick up a little from reading Harlequin novels.  Greek, Spanish, Portugese, I already speak Swedish, so that simplifies Norwegian.  I took French in high school. and some Arabic in college.  It's my way of closing gaps between people.  They always appreciate when someone tries to communicate in their language.

I grew up with Zorro.  I think he was my first love.  I believe also Zorro gave me a love of horses and an appreciation for other cultures of the world, specifically Spanish.  I like Flamenco and Latin music, as well as Greek, Arabic.  Growing up in the 50's and 60's gave me principals to live by and pass on to my kids.  Leave it to Beaver might seem corny to them but the family is first and foremost.  As was with Zorro and several others of the times.  I rode Tornado in my childhood playtime.  I was Zorro.  Guy's face has been a part of my brain ever since then.

Shortly after moving back to the States, a local station ran The Sign of Zorro.  Twice, and twice there were recording problems.  Called football games.  I eventually bought the video, along with the other Disney Zorro videos at the store.  I noticed a couple years ago the Disney channel aired Zorro.  I finally broke down a year and a half ago and got us hooked up to cable.  I will never regret it.  Shortly after that I wondered if just by chance there were any websites to Zorro.  It happened there were and I logged on to Bill Cotter's site.  I was on another Zorro listing, but I haven't heard a peep from there in ages.

A few months ago, Kathy Nance emailed me about this friendship list.  It took sometime, for some reason but I finally got on the band wagon.  Here in Michigan at a weekend charity function, Grant A Wish, put on by the Barbie club I'm in, my mentor asked if I had any Zorro dolls left because someone had approached her.  I sold the last doll I had.  I'd gotten several of them in Sweden and France.  This lady asked if I'd like
to sign the petition for Guy's star.   Already had, I told her.

Two Barbie enthusiasts who were also connected by Zorro.  I have this really neat Zorro comic.  Thick.  It's in Swedish.  It has Monastario in it.  The illustrations are darn good.  I should offer to loan it out, but then I'd need to include a translation.   This website has provided friends, inspiration, encouragement, and laughter.

Amigos, I salute you all,

Saludos, Amigos!

Hi,
I'm Suzzie and declare that I am hopelessly addicted to Guy Williams.  Nothing like have a major bonding experience with nostalgia!
I'm 52 years old and reside in southern Utah.  Been married 30 years to my best friend.  No children.  I have worked at our local ski resort for 23 years.
Anyway, I've loved Guy since the beginnings of Zorro.  Through the years I tried to find information on Guy and found nothing, until I bought a computer two years ago.  The first info I found on Zorro was Mary Spooner's web stie.  I was taking an Internet class at the college and it was my first attempt to find anything of my interest.  You can imagine the excitement that was within me!  Going somewhere where I've never been before and I find pictures of Guy/Zorro!
Now I have the pleasure talking to Mary Spooner, Jill, MBeve and I hope an on going discussion with you.
I bow,
Suzzie
