Hola, Friends!!
One of the best things that have happened to me recently was joining this List. Of course, I must say that comes after my rediscovery of Guy Williams!! I was seven years old when Zorro aired originally and like so many of us, I was totally captured by this man and the stories that Walt Disney presented. My two sisters and I, along with our neighborhood friends, would play Zorro in all sorts of ways, whether it be riding our bicycle horses all over the neighborhood chasing banditos, or running around the back yards with a rope around Tornada's waist. We sure had fun and those memories are very precious to me. Zorro had make a very lasting impression on all of us.
When Lost In Space aired, I watched our Guy again and though I was not as captured by Guy, I never lost sight of the fact that he was Zorro. |

Several years ago while visiting my older sister (who had cable while I did not) we found ourselves watching TV late at night. There "he" was--Zorro! Riding across the screen, bringing back all those delightful memories again, only this time a new dimension was added--I found my heart skipping a beat and the now familiar drooling starting to make it hard to concentrate on the plot! It was not just Zorro now...it was Don Diego--handsome and smooth with that silky voice, winning smile and dancing, sparkling eyes. I immediately realized there was a man behind all of this emotion...Guy Williams. |

I couldn't get those eyes and smile out of my mind and it was not long before I was searching the web for more information about him, but mostly for pictures so that I could drool to my heart's content. I knew he had died some time before, but that did not matter. I had to see more of him. I found the websites, gathered information and read the fanfiction. Yet all of this I did quietly and privately, afraid of what family and friends would think of my growing obsession.
By this time we had gotten cable in my house and now I could stay up and watch Zorro each night or even tape record the episodes I had to miss. At that time, heaven forbid! I was recording over the episodes each night. It was not long before I realized what I was missing and started to create my first collection of the series--in black and white. I discovered bloopers and found I enjoyed submitting these to the GWOL website. I had more fun watching and re-watching the episodes and longed to share my passion with others. But I was still shy about my obsession. |

Eventually, I made a few contacts with people whom I "met" from this List. I always received warm invitations to join, always the message was "You will love having contact with those who understand and share your feelings." It was not until an "accident" caused my finger to "slip" and sent an email with no message to one of the moderators of this List. Well, now I had to explain and introduce myself. And that was that!! Once again the invitation was given to get involved...this time I was ready to respond. I jumped in with both feet and I have never regretted it! |

A whole new world opened up to me the day I opened my heart to the touch of Guy Williams. Now I am writing poetry, short stories and even a novel. I am blessed with more sisters and brothers than I can count. The wonderful people on this List have given new meaning to my life. Nothing can compare with meeting for the "first" time in person, someone with whom you have shared the intimate feelings of a Guy Williams obsession. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you...maybe when we finally get to celebrate Guy Williams Day on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!!
