Ronald C. Parker
My name is Ron Parker. I am a retired Advertising Executive. I devote my time to writing, and creating, websites that tell the story of  the Canadian soldiers who fought one of the most savage battles of World Wat Two. The Battle of Hong Kong. The websites are written from a Canadian perspective.

On December 7, 1941 the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Two hours later they launched an attack on the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong.

In late October of 1941 a contingent of  1977 Canadian soldiers, and two Nursing Sisters, arrived to reinforce the Garrison to act as a deterrent should the Japanese be considering an attack on Kong Kong. They were The Royal Riflles of Canada and The Winnipeg Grenadiers. The Company Commander of "D" Coy, The Royal Rifles of Canada was my Dad, Major Maurice A. Parker

I have written two websites, and have been involved in the creation of other sites. I have also written a book. This book, DEADLY DECEMBER,  is dedicated to my Dad, and to all the brave men and women who fought The Battle of Hong Kong. It is meant to keep the memory of those men and women alive.

This book is published by Lulu, founded in 2002; Lulu (

An achievement I am proud of. The book that should make Canadians proud of those who served Canada in The Royal Rifles of Canada, and The Winnipeg Grenadiers.
