| Buntline Hitch |
| The Buntline Hitch is very secure for how little rope it takes. However, the Buntline Hitch jams easily, and so a Slipped Buntline Hitch is recommended instead. Note that the last half hitch must be near the object, otherwise you'll have Two Half Hitches, which is a fairly insecure hitch. Draw the Buntline Hitch up to the object after tying to secure it. _____________________________________________________ Many men routinely tie this hitch around their neck without realizing it (in the form of a necktie). |
