Coat of Arms

Here are some other images of heraldic elements of the Clan MacNeill:

A contemporary Coat of Arms style with a tilted shield. Another shield rendition. The cross is said to protect the bearer in battle. For comparison, a rendition of the O'Neill shield.

The following are clansman's crest badges, or strap and buckle badges.

A badge with the motto and crest. The badge can be used on its own and it also appears on certain types of flags. A badge from the MacNeill's of Colonsay. The motto is the Latin and the crest is the sword.

The strap and buckle badge is the only heraldic element which can be worn by non-family members.
