What's the Cost ?

Obviously gliding is not the cheapest of all leisure activities, but we believe that we have amongst the cheapest, if not THE cheapest costs of any gliding club in the South of England. Because we are poor students Shalbourne have given us special yearly membership and launch prices. The costs are as follows:
Yearly membership (Oct-Oct): £43
Note that the fee reduces if join later in the academic year.
The cost consists of £3 to be a members of RUGS (this money goes straight to RUSU and any RUSU club charges this to every member) and £40 which is your yearly membership to Shalbourne which is paid straight to them when you first arrive at the airfield. Nice and easy?
Cost of winch launch: £3.50
This also includes your first five minutes flying free!
Soaring costs: 20 pence per minute
This means that a 30 minute flight plus instructor will cost you only £8.50! I challenge you to find this cheaper within 250 miles!
