Southeast Texas (9/8/73):
ABC -- ABC's new 1973 Saturday Morning Lineup, featuring animated "Lassie", animated "Lost in Space", animated "Brady Bunch", the debut of "Superfriends", and a magical cartoon starring some rocker named Rick Springfield.
NBC -- NBC's all-new Saturday Morning schedule (during the time when NBC still had cartoons), with animated versions of "Addams Family", "Star Trek" and "Emergency!", plus the debut of "Sigmund & The Sea Monsters".
KHOU -- You can rely on Ron Stone's newscasts.
KBMT -- What all news should be.
KTRK -- "Eyewitness News" gets closer to its viewers; click here and find out why.
KFDM -- This must be the best newscast, as most people want the best.
Sulfodene Dog Shampoo -- A story on how Sulfodene saved the life of a lady's pet.
KTRE -- Don & Jonie laying out the news for you on TV is much easier than you laying out the newspaper on the table in the morning.
KPRC -- Doug Johnson's "weather in a flash".
Central Florida (4/6/74):
WTOG -- inviting you to watch the Atlanta Braves this year as Hank Aaron beats the record.
WTVT -- Wild Wild World of Animals, where wildlife existed on commercial, over-the-air TV.
WESH -- Get the "straight scoop" on News Scope with Dave Walker.
WXLT (WWSB) -- The people to see & the place to be.
CBS -- The premiere of It's The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown (Peanuts Characters are © 1952, 1957, United Feature Syndicate, Inc.)
WBBH -- Why Brad Lacey's news is interesting.
WLCY (WTSP) / Oral Roberts Ministries -- Oral Roberts' Easter Special; "Something good is going to happen to you."
Southeast Texas (9/6/75):
CBS -- CBS' '75 Saturday Morning schedule, featuring "Fat Albert", "Bugs Bunny", "Shazam & Isis", "Ghostbusters" (no relation to the movie) and a live-action outer space comedy starring Bob Denver of "Gilligan's Island".
NBC -- Their Saturday Morning schedule, featuring a runaway dog, a daydreaming cat, some singing pussycats, some talking apes, and more animated "Emergency!"
Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom -- New Season.
KPLC -- Another ad for Wild Kingdom.
NBC -- Movin' On: a series featuring the life of 2 truckers.
ABC -- The Tuesday night line-up in 1975, including a new season of Happy Days, a new series called Welcome Back, Kotter, new episodes of The Rookies and the new (and final) season for Marcus Welby, MD.
KPRC -- What Ron Stone's (formerly of KHOU) news is made of.
KHOU -- Remember when America spent their afternoons watching "Dinah", before there was "Oprah"?
KFDM -- Typical syndicated afternoon lineup from 1975: Family Affair, Beverly Hillbillies, Gomer Pyle & Brady Bunch.
NBC -- Chico & The Man returns for a second season; it's their job to be funny. However, it wasn't the same after Freddy Prinze's suicide.
Houston (1/30/82):
NBC -- On 2/1/82, late night TV was reinvented with the debut of Late Night With David Letterman (note that it starts at 12:00PM, which, to most people, means "noon"; it actually starts at midnight (12:00AM)).
NBC -- Sunday night, aliens invade in part 1 of Earthbound, then Ponch sings on CHiPs.
KRIV -- Remember when reruns of Happy Days are Happy Days Again?
ABC -- Thir powerful 1982 Wednesday night line-up: The Greatest American Hero, The Fall Guy & Dynasty.
KHTV -- Remember when Laverne & Shirley had some "Company" in the repeats?
ABC -- The Thursday night comedy lineup: Mork & Mindy, Bosom Buddies, Barney Miller & Taxi.
CBS -- When Friday night soaps ruled the airwaves: Dallas & Falcon Crest.
KPRC -- Ron Stone & the KPRC news team, including a young female reporter named Paula Zahn (now with CBS).
KHTV -- On the air around the clock; better than watching static (on the other hand, this was before infomercials & home shopping became rampant).
Tampa-Sarasota (12/21/96):
Nickelodeon -- Nick's Christmas present to America in 1996 -- The "Santa Experience" episode of Rugrats (originally seen in 1992).(Rugrats Characters are © 1996 by Viacom.)
NBC -- It's It's A Wonderful Life's 50th Anniversary; this fine film was rescued from public domain limbo just in time for this event.
