============= Gluing Headers ============= For my headers, I just use white school glue straight from the bottle - any brand that's on sale. I run a small bead along the edge that will be knotted & smear it flat with the end of the glue bottle. At the end of the rug, I weave the header, weave in some thick spacer filler & then weave the next header right away. Then I glue them both & go take a quick break. This way, the glue has time to soak in & dry & I don't get it all over my chest! Laurie in PA -------------------- I use Elmers glue, diluted with equal parts of water, squirted right out of the bottle and I find that it dries quickly and does not bead up like 100% Elmers. If it tends to bead up I just run my finger along the bead of glue; but usually after a few minutes it soaks in. Byron -------------------- On headers I've used the non-fray types of glue and also the "gel" type of school glue. Just apply a bead and run my finger tip across it to help it soak in. Rod, t.f.c. |
