================================ Rewinding Yarn Onto Smaller Packages ================================ >I recently bought some very large cones of warp. I need to wind them onto >smaller cones. Are there "cones" available to buy for this (cardboard or >otherwise), or does any one make their own and what do you use? ------------- I use a yarn "ball" maker. The yarn feeds from the center of the "ball". Orin ------------- I am not sure just how you will be using these, but I wind off from the spinning wheel by slipping a TP roll on the winder. Brucie ------------- I went to the hardware store and bought a 10' length of 1/2" PVC pipe. I cut it on the table saw into 4" lengths the same as the Maysville tubes and filed the ends just a tad. Just wrapped the warp around on itself a couple of times and then onto an improvised bobbin winder. Kathy ------------- |
