| ================= Tension Meter -DIY ================= I have a friend who does this to measure the evenness of the tension on their warp. Equipment needed: thumbtack and wooden ruler or wooden yardstick. o Push thumbtack into ruler -- on the wider flat side (just for example maybe at the 3" mark on a 12" ruler). o Slide this contraption in between warp threads -- hanging the thumbtack on a thread (the warp thread will be between the head of the tack and the ruler). o The weight of the ruler is consistent and will pull down on the warp -- you can read where the non-measured warps are resting. You can pick out random threads for measuring and compare. Deb ----------------- |
