Reader Leader Info

Becoming a Reader Leader gives you a chance to make Rutgers Readers a better organization!  You also get to know the Readers better and to help out new members!

-A Reader Leader has several responsibilities:

-  Lead a shift:
- Get to know your Readers
- Organize meeting places and times
- Monitor attendance
- Mediate concerns or problems
- Keep your group informed about shift schedules, meeting dates, and events
- Make your group fun!

- Recruit new members:
- Tell your friends, roommates, and classmates
- Post fliers

- New Member Training:
- Help welcome new members to the group
- Make training fun!

All of the above are basic responsibilities for Reader Leaders…however there is room for more participation.  There are other things to help out with as well…

- Assist with special projects
- Propose projects and events
- Propose ways to improve or expand our impact in New Brunswick
- Share ideas about how to make Rutgers Readers better
