"Voice It!" was an open-mike night that R.E.A.C.H. organised. It took place in April, 2004. Students and teachers from various ethnic groups came and talked about their identity. Many danced and sang. Poems, including spoken-word poems were read as well.
R.E.A.C.H. is planning to have another "Voice-It!" type night this year, where anyone can come on stage to share their identity, or something about themselves in various forms: dance, songs, music, poems, stories, speeches, and you can come up with the rest!
You can also help R.E.A.C.H. behind the stage as well! Tech, sound, art, posters, organisation, and much more! See Ms. Conner in room 247, or come to R.E.A.C.H. meetings during X-Blocks in room 247. Can't come during school? Not a problem. Send an e-mail to Ryota Santiago Nagata at: |
